We have completed a major server infrastructure upgrade that affects every subscriber. Four new server locations have been added across Northern Europe and our existing servers have been upgraded with faster hardware. The result is noticeably quicker stream start times, lower latency and improved resilience during peak viewing periods.
What Has Changed
Four New Server Locations
We have added new servers in the following locations to improve coverage and reduce the distance between subscribers and their nearest server:
- Stockholm, Sweden — primarily improves performance for Swedish and Finnish subscribers
- Oslo, Norway — dedicated Norwegian traffic node
- Copenhagen, Denmark — covers Denmark and Northern Germany
- Amsterdam, Netherlands — central European hub with excellent connectivity to all European markets
Hardware Upgrades
All existing server nodes have been upgraded with:
- Faster NVMe storage reducing stream buffer read times
- Increased RAM for improved concurrent connection handling
- Upgraded network cards for higher bandwidth per node
What This Means for You
- Faster channel switching — channels load noticeably faster when you change between them
- Lower latency on live sports — particularly beneficial for UK and Scandinavian subscribers who were furthest from existing server locations
- Better performance during peak hours — Champions League and Premier League match evenings were our highest load periods. The additional capacity means smoother performance during those peaks
- Improved reliability — with more server locations, a problem with any single node affects fewer subscribers
Do You Need to Do Anything?
No action is required on your part. The upgrades are completely transparent — your existing M3U URL, Xtream Codes credentials and portal URL all continue to work exactly as before. The improvements happen automatically in the background.
If you notice performance has not improved: Try refreshing your playlist or re-entering your credentials. In rare cases your app may have cached the old server routing. A fresh login will pick up the new infrastructure.
Ongoing Improvements
This upgrade is part of an ongoing infrastructure investment programme. We plan to add further server locations in Southern Europe — specifically Spain, Italy and Greece — in Q3 2026. These additions will be particularly beneficial for subscribers in those countries who currently experience ISP-related blocking during live sports.
