IPTV on Smart TV: Samsung & LG Setup Guide 2026

Samsung and LG Smart TVs are two of the most popular platforms for IPTV streaming. Both manufacturers run their own operating systems — Tizen for Samsung and WebOS for LG — which means the setup process differs slightly. This guide covers both in full detail.

What You Need

• An active IPTV Nords subscription with M3U URL or Xtream Codes credentials
• Your Samsung or LG TV connected to the internet
• A USB drive (for Samsung Tizen models 2020 and earlier)

Samsung Smart TV Setup (Tizen OS)

Samsung's Tizen OS does not allow direct APK sideloading in the same way Android does. The recommended method is using IPTV Smarters Pro which is available through Samsung's Smart Hub on newer models, or via the developer mode on older models.

Method 1 — Smart Hub (2021 and newer)

1. Press the Home button on your Samsung remote
2. Navigate to Apps
3. Use the search icon and type IPTV Smarters
4. Install the app and open it
5. Select Login with Xtream Codes API
6. Enter your IPTV Nords credentials from your welcome email
7. Tap Add User and wait for channels to load

Method 2 — Developer Mode (older Samsung models)

1. Go to Settings → Support → About Smart TV
2. Press 12345 on your remote to open developer mode
3. Enable developer mode and enter your PC's IP address
4. Use Samsung's Tizen Studio on your PC to sideload the IPTV app

LG Smart TV Setup (WebOS)

LG WebOS is more flexible than Samsung Tizen when it comes to installing third-party apps. The recommended app for LG is IPTV Smarters Pro which is available in the LG Content Store on most models from 2018 onwards.

Method 1 — LG Content Store

1. Press the Home button on your LG Magic Remote
2. Open the LG Content Store
3. Search for IPTV Smarters
4. Install and open the app
5. Enter your IPTV Nords Username, Password and Server URL
6. Wait for your 19,000 channels to load

Method 2 — Developer Mode App

1. On your LG TV go to Settings and enable Developer Mode
2. Install the LG Developer Mode app from the Content Store
3. Use your PC and LG's developer tools to sideload the IPTV APK

Connecting Your IPTV Nords Subscription

Regardless of which TV brand and method you use, the process of adding your IPTV Nords subscription is the same. Open your installed IPTV app and look for one of these login options:

• Xtream Codes login — enter your Username, Password and Server URL
• M3U URL login — paste the M3U link from your welcome email

Both options give you access to the same 19,000 channels, VOD library and sports events.

Getting the Best Picture Quality

To get the sharpest possible picture on your Smart TV:

• Use a wired ethernet connection rather than WiFi where possible
• In your IPTV app settings set stream quality to FHD or 4K
• Enable Adaptive Streaming if your app supports it — this automatically adjusts quality based on your connection speed
• Disable any Smart TV picture processing modes like Motion Smoothing which can cause judder on live streams
